This is Luke walking back up the hill. I guess he was a little exhausted! :0)

Me, Mike and Maggie ready to go down on the tube. What a fun time had by ALL!!!

We hope you ALL have had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year !!!!

Turkey Weekend

Our latest weekend of fun... We had dinner with the Maloy's and played games, It was wonderful food, great company. Fun to be with family and good times had by all.

Friday we went on a hike and then went mountain biking. I actually had a HUGE rock jump out in front of me, made me fall off my bike, I scraped up my leg a bit. I'm a little sore but will survive.

Saturday we were invited to go to the Grand Canyon with my boss JoAnn and her husband Rick. We had a good time. We took a train that goes from Williams to the Grand Canyon, they even have a little show or entertainment during the ride up and back. Here are some photo's of our day.

Here, we walked into a shop and there was an old couple sitting on each side of the bench, both were fast asleep. SO we had to take a photo of them.

Latest Weekend of Fun!!

We ended up taking Matthew to Queen Valley to do some skeet shooting, and shot up an old TV, bowling pin, etc... He had never shot anything other than a .22 in boy scouts.

Later that night we went to the White Tanks again to go Mountain biking. While we were on our way home there were a few deer crossing the road, so we stopped to watch them for a bit. This is something we hardly see here in AZ. We all had a great day and look forward to doing it again soon.

Sunday Stroll

So, today we decided to take a drive and ended up at the White Tanks state park. It was such a beautiful day today. We found a trail called Waterfall Trail and since today it rained a little we decided that would be something to see here in the desert. Well, we hiked up but only found two small pools and no waterfall. It was a really nice hike.

Ward Halloween Party !!

So last night was the ward Halloween party. I'll admit it was fun. Mike and I usually don't go to those kind of things, but need to be better at doing it. My friend (Stef) and I entered Mike and her husband, Ben, into a pie eating contest and well, Mike would say he won, but the judge didn't notice that he did so i guess he took second. Here are a couple photo's of Ben and Mike.

HaLlOwEeN !!!! FuN!!!

Ok so this is how Mike and I get in the spirit of Halloween. We go to a cemetery.

No just kidding. Mike had a job in Safford on Friday and I went with him to make a weekend get-a-way out of it. We decided to stay the night and luckily enough for us we found a hotel with no cockroaches!! Saturday morning we went to find his Grandmothers gravesite. It took us a while to find the graveyard because we did not know where we were really going.

We went to the town of Pima, thinking that was where she was buried and then called his Dad to tell us where she is buried, we were at the wrong cemetery. It was actually a little town just east of Pima called Central. We drove down a couple dirt roads and came upon a graveyard. Here are some photo's from there that we thought were sad. It reminded us of the OLD west stories. Some were so sad the headstones were made of wood.

We finally found his grandmothers and had to take a photo of that one as well so we could show his Dad that we went.

Livin' in the Hood

Mike and I decided to sleep in a little Saturday morning cuz i did not need to be ready till 10:00 to head out with the girls. So i started to pack and asked if i could take his backpack with me. I only have big bags for when i go to Utah. So he heads out to his truck and notices glass everywhere on the street. He said to himself "man that's a lot of glass, wonder where that came from". So he opens the truck door and cant find the backpack but notices glass in his truck. Then he looks at the drivers side back window and notices that its not there anymore. YES someone broke into his truck and stole the backpack that was on the back seat. I guess it was a smash and grab.

YES i think Mike now knows we live in the hood and he cant leave anything in his truck or it will get stolen. I guess we are lucky that that is all they took. He had a lot of stuff in there. Not a fun feeling to get broken into, but we are ok. :o(

Day Trip to Jerome

This past weekend the "Maloy" girls were taking a sisters getaway. We decided to go to Jerome and do a Ghost walk. Jerome is a haunted little artsy-fartsy town here in AZ. We started out Saturday late morning and went to ALL the little shops. Ate at the Haunted Hamburger (great burgers). Then went on the the Ghost walk, the acting was a little lame, but we made it fun nonetheless.

That night we drove to Cottonwood, another little town close to Jerome, to spend the night. When we pulled up it reminded us of Bates Motel. When we checked in I could hardly breathe, the smoke was so bad. I guess all rooms are smoking at that place. Angela was smart to bring a can of smell good stuff, which was much needed. Then to ALL of our surprise we turned on the light in the bathroom and TONZ of little cockroaches scattered everywhere. You know what they say, when you see babies there are BIG Mommy's close by. I got so disgusted we checked out as fast as we checked in and made the drive home.
It was a fun day and one to remember. Here is a photo of us, Lauren, Me, Amanda, Jackie and Angela.

Cub Scouting - Troop 76

So, Mike and i have been in the scouting program for about 5 months now. This month with the boys we have been making go-carts. They have had so much fun making them and i even think one of our boys even got over the fear of an electric screwdriver. He's very timid.

Here are a couple shots of us racing the carts tonight. Just so everyone knows, i won Mike on our race!! :o)

I don't know who had more fun, us or the boys??

Friday night at the camp fire.

Ok, so we decided to go up the mountain and have hot dogs and make smores with the "Other Maloys", Mark, Angela and Jacklyn. We also took the computer and watched a movie. While making smores Angela was walking back to sit down to roast a marshmallow and let out a scream. We got the flashlight and there was this tarantula. It was so large it could have eaten us whole. I mean like 10 feet big. Ok really, the body was like 3 inches from butt to head and then when you factor the legs in, it would have been about 6 or 7 inches, the largest i have EVER seen even in museums. So here is a photo of the creature and i hope you can see it as clear as we did.

Mike and I decided to spend the night, so we set up camp in the back of the truck, blew up the mattress and by 2:00am we were on our way back home again. The mattress kept deflating on us. So we got about 4 hrs sleep. Rather deflated and depressing.

Park City

This past weekend we (9 sisters and I) went to Park City for a "Sisters weekend". We had so much fun together. We have done this (sisters weekend) for 3 years now and trying to make a tridition of it. We go to a different location each year.
We went up the mountain on the ski lift and from this view was the top. Lila and i decided to walk down the mountain. Instead of following the trail Lila wanted to go down the face of it. Ya know, shorter distance straight down@@@@, it will be fast ( i guess if you roll down). It was fun, but i know now i'm out of shape.
Here is a photo of the ten of us and of Park City in the fall with the leaves just starting to change. Ellen took the photo's.

Fun in Mesquite!!!

So Laurel wanted to take the boys somewhere for the weekend and take them swimming. They invited us to tag along with them and they decided to go to Mesquite, NV. We had a ton of fun. Went swimming A LOT and rode on the go-carts. Luke was just a little too short so he could not go on the go-carts. On Saturday evening there was a storm and a flash flood, the power was out so it was challanging to find somewhere to eat, BUT the slots never lost power.. hmmmm

Here are a couple photo's of our fun weekend.

Viva Lost Wages

We went to Las Vegas for a long weekend with some friends, Ben and Stef and had a really good time. Took the Dam tour, bought some Dam souveniors, ate some Dam lunch, etc...

We stayed in a hotel right on Fremont street and actually won at penny slots! After winning, we went downtown to the strip and saw the Bellagio, New York, New York, Paris, Harrahs, Ballys, M&M factory, Coca Cola factory, then decided to go see a show. Anthony Cools, a hypnotist. And Mike actually watched the show instead of being part of the show.

We also went to the Las Vegas temple and walked the grounds.

On our way home we stopped in Kingman for gas and found this Lady with her 15 week old Kangaroo! We had a great weekend...

Another Concert

Friday night we were on our way to dinner with Mom and Dad Maloy when my friend Violeta called and invited us to a concert at Cricket Pavillion. It was Tim McGraw (wow he's hot) and Jason Aldean, so how could we turn it down. What a good time we had. This is the photo of just the girls that went. Me, Miriam, Marisela, America and Violeta. George went to the little boy's room and Mike was taking the photo.
