ENDO!!!

Endo: A crash which results in a rider going over the front handlebars.

This isn't Marcie, but this is what she did! This morning. we went mountain biking, and while going down a steep part into a wash, she hit a rock, and BAM! I missed seeing the accident, but saw her on the ground face down with her bike on top of her, and laughing!!! She now has 6 visible bruises, abrasions on both of her hands and one knee. Sorry, honey!

New Calling...

So last week I got a phone call from a member of the Stake and asked if he could meet with Mike and I before church. I hesitated to say yes because I knew it would be a new calling. We tried to think of what it could be and NEVER thought it would be what it was.

SO... I go from Nursery to 2nd Counselor in the Stake Relief Society. Kind of scary, but I guess if i'm called then someone thinks I can do it.

I will be speaking once a quarter in Sacrament Meetings, something I have not done since I was about 16 or so..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE !!!

We invited Matt, Megan and Mike's parents over for B-Day cake and dinner yesterday, and then to carve pumpkins.

Last year for Halloween Mike and I wanted to carve Pumpkins, we waited so long to get one we could'nt find one other than the little teenie ones. So this year we purchased some early and carved them after dinner. We had so much fun.

This is Mike being a red-neck.. YES he is using a Sawzall.. IT WORKED!!! Fast too, we would recommend it..

Trip to Tucson!!

So, Mike and I went for a weekend trip to Tucson. Got a great hotel room, Jacuzzi suite. We checked out a couple state parks. Went toTumacacori National Historic Park. The mission was built in the 1700's, to the Pima air and space museum and to the Sonora desert museum.

Feeling Realy Old...

Mike and I went to Huntington Beach this last weekend to visit the family Iused to Nanny for (Tod, Mimi, Ryan and Mike). When I went to Boston, Ryan (in red), the oldest son was only 15 months old. Now he is a Junior at Manhattan University and Mike is a Senior in High School.




We got to spend a lot of time with them and also went and spent some much needed relaxing time at the beach to watch the surfers. Mike (my hubby) has always told me about the "Wedge" so I finally got to see that as well. That's a place he and Mark would go body surfing all the time when they were younger.



It was so nice to see them and we hope to get to Boston soon.

The Biggest Loser

So, Mike and his brother, Mark went to the casting call for The Biggest Loser today. Stood in line for what felt like hours and got the numbers of 125 and 126. So they weren't too far back in the line. They got to see a couple of past contestents and the season 6 winner from here in good ol' Arizona.

The casting team told everyone "if" they were selected from the first round they would get a phone call for a second interview. Well, guess what?? They got a call this afternoon about 4:00 for another interview to come in on Monday.

They are so excited about this. Wish them luck!!!

Weekend of fun in Utah!!!

So we flew to Utah this past weekend, Laurel had asked Mike to Baptize Ethan. We started out being an hour delayed leaving Phoenix. We flew in a plane that was really small, only had about 60 seats.

We also got to see Brady come home from his mission. He served his mission in Latvia. He has not changed much, It was really good to see him after 2 years and to have him meet Mike for the first time.

We celebrated Ethan's 8th birthday with three of his friends and watched the movie Ice Age. Wow boys can be loud at that age.

The rest of the weekend was spent visiting Dad, getting him his chocolate and root beer's. We also got to visit Pat and Paul and take a ride in his 1955 Bel Air.

I have the best husband EVER... I was at work when they arrived. I could not even see the delivery man behind them. They are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

New Church Callings!!

So both Mike and I got new callings about 3 weeks ago. Mike is the new High Priest Group leader. (this is how he feels about it.)

... and I am the new Faith in God leader for the 10 and 11 year old girls. We have been having a lot of fun. Yesterday we took them up Thunderbird Mountain (hill) for a hike. This is 3 of the 4 girls. The second photo is just of the sunset here. AND, Mike actually likes his new calling, that was just a face he pulled because i took his photo after our hike. :o)

Mutton Busting!!

Friday night we went to watch Tucker Cotten ride a sheep. He was one of the best riders out there. We had so much fun watching the kids. They were so cute.

Saturday Mike had a job in Safford, while driving thru Globe AZ we came across this antique shop. Way funny!! :o) (the name of the Antique shop) I call Mike an "Old Fuddy Duddy".

Miracles DO Happen!!!!

So, I was all set to trade my truck in for something a little more economical, but before I could do it, my Dad rearended a semi. All kidding aside, when I got a call that he had been in a wreck and that I was only 15 minutes away, I got there in 10. When I saw about a dozen police cars blocking off the street, and a fire truck, and an ambulance, my heart sunk.....he was flown by helicopter to the nearest trauma center because he was complaining of chest pains. Good news! He is fine! A little bruised up, an abrasion on his left hand, and some cut up clothes (from the paramedics) and that's all. He was released from the hospital a couple of hours after he got there. MIRACLES DO HAPPEN

How about this one?? We went up the canyon for a cookout and smores, and while we were driving we followed this motorcycle most of the way. It's big enough for both Mike and Maggie!!! Another one we thought was funny.. :o)


We stopped to talk to the owner and trying to keep a straight face we asked him some questions. He was SOOOOOO proud of his $30,000.00 find.

Sunday Drive

So today we wanted to get out of town and started heading north. We went around on General Crook's Trail. Most of the roads were still shut down because there is still snow up there and the roads are not paved. We came thru Snowflake and stopped to look at the Temple. We made our way home thru Payson. What a beautiful day.

New work truck and Baseball games!!

Ok, so business has been slow so we had to down size on Mike's work truck. Here is a photo of it. It still has his rack to haul doors and stuff. What do you all think?? (Just kidding, we thought it was so funny we had to take a photo of it.)




Friday we went to a spring training game, LA Dodgers ~vs~ TX Rangers. We had fun and it was at the new field across from the house. (great location) This photo is of Manny Ramierez.

CRUSIN' IN MEXICO

We just got back from a seven day cruise to Mexico. What a great time we had. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. We did not take many photo's, but we had so much fun. There were seven of us in our party, Aunt Valene, Laurel, Kathy, Heather, Monika, Mike and I. In Puerto Vallarta, Mike, Monika (a friend) and I went on the Canopy Zip Line. Here is a photo of us putting on our gear. Mike is getting his gear on as we watch and make fun.

BEAUTIFUL Laurel, we were playing with Mike's camera and it won't take your photo until you smile so we finally got a big cheesy one of Laurel, Also one of me.

This is one of Mike and I in Cabo San Lucas, "Los Arcos" one side is the Pacific Ocean, the other is the Sea of Cortez. Laurel, Mike and I were on our way whale watching. Whales were really close to the boat. Really cool.
